This 12" sculpture is of a Ulster Defence Regiment (UDR) soldier on a foot patrol in an urban part of Ulster. Throughout the conflict in Northern Ireland members of the Ulster Defence Regiment risked thier lives working, living and soldiering in the province. The UDR suffered the highest number of casualties in the British Army. The wooden base and an engraved brass plate is included in the price.
This sculpture has a UDR badge sculpted into the base between the soldier's feet.
All our statues include an optional engraved plate on the wooden base. On the bronze statues the plate is jewellers brass and the pewter/ silver statues have a nickel silver plate.
