GREEN BERETS CENTREPIECE

We were honoured to be asked to make this Special Forces Centrepiece for the US Green Berets. It features three of our sculptures - SF Night Ops, SF Halo & the Standing SF communicator.

The brass plaque explains the event and includes two of the Green Beret 3D Brass Crests.

SCOTTISH AND NORTH IRISH YEOMANRY 1899

Making this statue was a huge pleasure for us. I love History, and the Boer War is a fascinating era, It is when the British Army learned many hard lessons in the field and had to adapt fast. By 1914 those lessons, particularly in marksmanship, stood ‘the contemptibles’ in great stead when they first met the Germans in Flanders.

The commission was at the Request of the Officers' Mess, and it depicts the role of the Regiment as a scouting force. What I find interesting is how the uniform, saddlery and weaponry quickly adapted to the heat, terrain, and type of warfare. It is a popular farewell gift within the Regiment, and we hope it brings a huge amount of pleasure to those lucky enough to earn one.
